I liked the movie, but I wish Amber Heard was all in his head. A result of the tumor and him fighting an internal struggle to finish his job. Then he should have died in the end, where the miracle cure was all in his head as well.

I'll take the movie like it was; it entertained and managed to tug on an emotion or two, but...what you just described would have made for a more engaging story, made for a damn good reveal at the end, and ultimately a better film. Sadder and a sort of a downer, but definitely a better film (sort of like how "Leon/The Professional," also Luc Besson's work, ended...that was sadness and finality...topped off with a sliver of hope).
