I knew the killer a mile away....*SPOILERS*

i knew it was the computer nerd when they first revealed him. he had the same body type as the stalker/killer and the fact that he's this computer genius, it's obvious that the computer nerd at the police station fit the bill.

i think it was very obvious when he was asking her all those questions

this movie was inspired by "true events" - is that who was the "actual" stalker who killed her parents as well, or did the writers just make it all up and NOT reveal who the true stalker/killer was in the end? was it actually the "computer nerd" who was working w/the police that killed her parents?

I'm confused and would like to know where I can find the "true story" this movie was inspired from... any help would do and thanks in advance.

reply

I think it was plain BS that it was based on a true story.

It said "inspired" so they can literally do anything with the plot

reply

This movie was inspired by true events. "Inspired" means that it's fictionalized (using artistic license to make it interesting) and "Events" (plural) suggest more that just one story or occurrence. Therefore I doubt there's "one" true story that it was "inspired" from but rather a combination of events or stories. The fact that it's fictionalized, I doubt any one true story could be identified as the basis of this movie.

Well as the killer has to be someone we have met, you could kind of guess who the main suspect was going to be.

Its that man again!!

reply

I guess I've seen way too many LMN movies because I figured it was him immediately when he appeaed in the detective's office. He was probably supposed to be the least likely. He's in a wheelchair and working for the police as a computer geek. The red flag immediately went up. How better to disguise yourself and draw attention away than putting yourself in a wheelchair? Even more so, keeping tabs on the cops and using them to help track down your prey? I wish they hadn't made it so obvious.

reply

I just don't understand one thing: if he already had the technology to track her down, why doing it for the police?

reply

It was a game for him, I guess.

reply

Yeah, it was painfully obvious.
