Mischa Barton?

Her acting in this movie is awful, and her character is so bland. Actually the entire movie is a major waste of time, and the cyberstalker was very obvious. No surprises at all and it left me wondering why I kept watching. I gave it a 4 star and that's generous for this mess of a movie.

OMG she is so flat and boring.

She was AWFUL. Like beyond soap opera bad. I realize the script was probably ludicrous, but just the way she said every line was so cringe-worthy. I've only seen her in the 6th sense, other than this, so idk if this is a regular performance from her. But wow, just wow.

I'm watching it now, and the first thing that jumped out to me was how stilted she was when delivering her lines. In anything I've seen her in previously, she was a perfectly fine actress, even good in some movies (can't recall names right now). And she was good in The OC (which I loved!). It's almost like she "forgot" how to act in this movie.

I agree there is a few movies out there where Mischa Barton's acting was not that bad but in this movie for some reason she was just like saying her lines w/o any emotion. If my parents were killed in a horrific way and the killer was still out there I would be so freaking devastated and want revenge - you know like working w/the police to catch this guy - especially since its based on true events. Its like maybe the director made Mischa act like this or something. I never watched OC, have too many other shows (at the time) to watch already. I do watch Hart of Dixie w/Rachel Bilson who is so adorable and a very good actress as well; I just love HOD and Bilson is magnetic on this show especially w/her love interest Wilson Bethel the actor who plays Wade; They have undeniable chemistry.

I know Mischa had a lot of problems in real life and that is why they killed her off the OC (I read this on some board, that is the reason they killed her character off), but I am hoping she's doing much better because I think she has it IN her to be a very good actress.

lol - agree ... I knew as soon as he wheeled himself into the detective's office towards the beginning of the movie that he was the stalker. But I admit to loving the heck out of cheesy lifetime movies.

You took the words right out of my mouth Tracey. I knew as soon as he wheeled in the office, it was him. There was a similar movie years back on Lifetime where a nerdy creepy guy who worked with the police was stalking teen models. He would wear a Red baseball cap and had a camcorder on him. Can't remember the name of the movie.

Yep, I remember that movie. I was thinking the same thing, but I couldn't think of the name of it. Thanks to the person who replied to your post, though - that's the movie I was thinking of (Selling Innocence).
