I've heard this rumor too but I've seen no evidence of it at all, It would be a real shame for sure since just about everyone else is returning for the 50th anniversery game!
Although I can understand if he was too busy doing Skyfall since he has a lot of stuns and so as well...
Apart from Quantum of Solace the 007 Games have been awful and panned by most reputable game critics as Dated and unpolished and as a fan i have to agree with them. No wonder Craig's blanked them!

Is the game as bad as the game sites and critics say it is?
Decided to wait for gamers views as i blew £ on BloodStone and Goldeneye which looked and played like something from 2007! Incidently that's also similar to the reviews for Legends from well respected gamesites last week!
I thought the Goldeneye remake from 2010 was pretty solid. I haven't played Bloodstone or Quantum of Solace though.
007 Legends was a bit disappointing. It seems rushed, to coincide with Skyfall's release, and the Skyfall missions are nothing like the film at all. And don't even follow the complete film plot. I wanted to do the casino in Macau, and the battle at Skyfall Lodge. I want more DLC, dammit!
That's why i didn't buy Legends due to the poor review by gaming sites!
