007 Legends = HORRENDOUS!

Lets see, I don't even know where to begin. Maybe I should begin by saying I'm a Call of Duty guy, so it may be a bit unfair that I'm degrading this game so much. However, there's A LOT I can nitpick about, and I think they're fairly simple things.

1. Acting is terrible. I am EXTREMELY disappointed Daniel Craig didn't return for the voice. But it goes beyond that. Supporting roles in the game sound extremely stupid & phony to the max.

2. The script/writing of the game is PATHETIC. There were plenty of opportunities throughout the game where Bond could've come back with a witty one-liner. Instead, he either says nothing at all, or says something that sounds dumb & unintelligent. I don't think there even was a "Bond, James Bond" throughout the whole thing. Example: When you fly the helicopter out of the airplane in the Die Another Day mission, Bond & Jynx are talking totally normal. Not a care in the world that they're about to be sucked out of an airplane...

3. The game is very unrealistic. It takes sometimes a clip & a half to kill one bad guy shooting at you. If you subdue a bad guy, you take the risk of having another guard seeing the body. Couldn't the developers have added an option where you could move the bodies? No. It just makes the game harder to play EVEN on the easiest difficulty. It would've been more realistic if you could at least do certain things to remain stealthy. Shadows don't always cut it...

4. Graphics are mediocre at best. Come on. We're in 2012 with Xbox & Playstation. You'd think graphics would be near Call of Duty graphics for a first person shooter. Bond looks like a Muppet in cut scenes & sometimes you don't even see his mouth move when talking.

5. Music was borrowed from previous games. I think Bloodstone for instance. Talk about laziness.

All in all I think you can see where I'm getting at. LAZINESS is the best word to describe the entire game and the development behind it. I feel like a lot more effort could've gone in to this game ESPECIALLY for the 50th anniversary of the franchise. As I've said before, I truly don't think they've made a decent FIRST PERSON SHOOTER Bond game since Nightfire. Huge let-down here...

You put this on the skyfall messageboard, is it really that bad?

I actually quite like the game, sure the graphics are not the best in the World but I am enjoying going through the various Bond missions. I am on the Moonraker mission now (5th one) and am holding off for a bit as want to get the "proper" ending when the Skyfall DLC is released.

I would give the game 6 or 7 out of 10. IMO certainly not warranting all of the negative reviews. Sure the visuals are not as good as Modern Warfare 3 but the gameplay is similar.

I came here to make the same exact gripe. It takes about a minute and fifteen seconds once you're killed to go back and try the level again. That 1:15 seems like an eternity when you're ready and anxious to play.

Call of duty graphics suck. Legends has the same graphics just without everything covered in baby oil.

is bloodstone the better game?

reply

Blood Stone is much better, yes. Personally, I believe the best recent Bond game was the new GoldenEye.
