Only $5,000?

What kind of game show prize is that?!

reply

The reward doesn't suit what these people go through tbh lol ..

It should be something like 25k

Let's face it, people on this show should be happy to get 10% of what the winners on "Fear Factor" get, given the fact that there is 0% chance of them getting injured on this show.

Must be the minimum or something and NBC Universal can't be bothered to put any more into it because it's not on their main channel. I know this same cash prize amount was also highly debatable for MTV's FEAR and that was often even more BS because they did quite a bit. Not to mention Kid Nation only gave that much to all but about a dozen of the participants.

Every kid that participated in Kid Nation got 5K...Gold Stars valued at $20,000 and $50,000 were awarded to outstanding participants as decided by the elected Town Council.

There is always too much month and not enough money.

Oh man, Kid nation was 1 of favorite shows .. I wish they hadn't killed that show .. it was awesome ..

I agree. I thought it was a good show that taught kids responsibility...something that kids nowadays know nothing about sadly. I hated that it got canceled. Some people can't handle allowing kids to do things that they are capable of doing. They are teaching their kids to be momma's boys and girls and not self sufficient which is why they live at home until they are in their mid to late 20's.

Oops, just noticed and corrected my mistake. I meant that as you said they gave only that much to all-but about a dozen of the kids, just wasn't thinking when I wrote my first post here.

Helps ensure that the show can keep going if they aren't paying out huge sums every week.
