Showtime is playing it over and over and I can't help but stop and watch it again and again. The ending is incredible and the speech, I swear makes me cry. I man with a hard life who gained so many lessons in life passes his knowledge unknowingly to Oliver. You don't realize that with all the crazy crap he does, he teaches this kid about life in a positive way even though on the outside, it looks insane. Bill kills it in this movie.
I loved it too, a lot. Bill Murray was wonderful as always. Melissa McCarthy, Naomi Watts (amazing!) and the boy, as well as the rest of the cast, were terrific as well.
I was afraid it might be a bit overly sentimental, but the acting is so good that wasn't the case. I hope Bill Murray lives forever. I loved him from his first episode of SNL, way back when.
I was flicking channels when I heard this amazing music "if I get money I'll get funny again". I soon I realised I had seen this before and the first time had thought it a bit down beat but was wrong; it is inspirational. It gets better and better with viewing, every minute is a gem. The music should have won an Oscar; watching it now and a gentle bass chords on a piano a moment ago the wheel chairs in the hospital. Melissa M is always astonishing and Bill Murray is beautifully unfazed by her.. The boy, Naomi W so appropriate and well cast.. Its a beautiful movie.
Breathe of fresh air from a true legend like Murray. Even the unfunny shehawg was tolerable, that's the magic of Murray. Thanks Bill for all your fantastic work, your Chicagoland burbs and world love ya!
I've seen this movie so many times and each time it grabs me like few others. It is a brilliant movie about being a human and how you affect people and how they affect you. Very true to life, with lots of lessons to be learned.
