Alice Springs

I guess they wanted to emphasise that Robyn Davidson was heading into new frontiers, but seriously, even back in 1975, Alice Springs was quite the modern central Australian large town/small city and looked nothing like as depicted on the screen; dirt roads, blokes carrying rifles hanging out the back of utes and old, rundown, non - air conditioned buildings. 🐭
