Ethan Hawke going out like Christian Slater (decline of a former star)

Between this movie The Getaway, and the other one he did recently, The Purge (and I am sure there are other catastrophes of late I missed fortunately..) Ethan Hawke appears to be on a downward slide much like Slater went thru a few years ago. He is taking worse & worse movie roles, his acting is horrible now too, and I think he has just about ruined his career at this point. Maybe he can do a play in London with Christian next, or start narrating TV commercials? Then Walmart greeter may be next for him after this utter trash he's been doing... Sad ending to a once decent actor.
