Meh. I'm 23. She could very easily pass as my peer. From my experience, I'd say agewise, the average 23 year old girl looks like Vanessa Hudgens.
Plus, her co-stars--Tyler James Williams is 19 and Brandon Mychal Smith is 23. She looks in-between that.

Sometimes it's just hard to tell with adolescents and young adults. Not only do people age at different rates, but they vary what they do with their bodies to look older/younger/age appropriate.
Bella's face and figure looked very 12, but Disney has always overdone it with her hair, makeup, and outfits since day 1.
^^^Agreed, she looked like an overly done-up 12 year old (I don't get why Disney over dos the the make-up on all their younger stars nowadays)
and Coco Jones doesn't look 19 let alone 23, I'm in college and if I saw her on campus I'd assume she was a visiting high school student/ young for her age, she looks 14-16, like my younger siblings whom I watched this with lol - maybe having siblings that age is the reason she doesn't look older than me, to me lol

Coco would've fit in at my university just fine. I'm just talking initial impression anyways. Once someone tells me what the person's real age is, I start looking at the person differently. My sisters are 14 and 19. She looks older than both of them lol. I take back my original guess... I'd say she looks 18-20. Maybe we look younger, and maybe my perception is skewed by the makeup, her voice, and height. Idk.
She's probably going to eventually look younger than her age :) Very pretty regardless.

Gotcha. When you think about it, age is really just meant to be an estimate for legal issues and stuff like that. We're just a funny culture. Obsessed with getting older up until we're 21, then wishing we were younger for the rest of our life :) Totally generalizing of course.

I think one of the things that really makes Bella look older is her hair! It's like the first thing you notice.
i appreciate that the writers didn't ask coco jones's character to go beyond what any 14-year-old should be asked to do, in terms of the depth of her relationship with the tj williams character. (although i'll bet that some 14-year-olds wouldn't mind the apparent independence and freedom of movement of her character!)

in 2007, there was Keke Palmer and Corbin Bleu in Jump In!, she was 12 at the time and he was 17.
It's not a Disney movie but in Another Cinderella Story, Selena Gomez was 14-15 and Drew Seely was 26!! WAAAAAAAY WORSE.
