Rating skyrocketed!

Last time I checked, it was nearly 4.6 or so but now it's 6+. Is it really that good or are some plants beefing up the rating albeit a bit late in the day?

I liked laid to rest by hall but disliked his Chromeskull sequel. So if it's good I might check it out.

I was surprised to see that too. At first it had 8.2 or so (but that was just 22 votes or so), then it started sinking more and more. Now however, it rises up again!
I have the feeling this might be a good movie. Wish I could see it, but I don't live in USA :(

Someone clearly messed with the ratings...
Don't waste your time on that movie. I only made it through the first half of it, the story is one confusing mess, all characters behave completely unrealistic and crazy, nothing makes any sense.
It seems like they spent 99% of their budget on this one shooting scene in the trailer, (which is then recycled over and over as "memories" in the movie), the rest is just random garbage pieced together to fill 90min.

this movie clearly belongs in the realm of 3-4 imdb rating.

That's totally not true. The rating as is, is correct IMHO. It's a decent horror movie and scary, even quite above the average horror flicks. I like how they gave science a part in this one, a small one but still.

I watched the entire movie and I agree, it is barely coherent.

It felt like nothing more than an 80s horror movie like From Beyond or Night of the Demons, but even that low of a bar was too high.

This was laughably bad. The script was horrible, the acting was hammy and it was all over the place. I gave it a 3 out of 10.

It's pretty awful. It had a decent idea, then went out into crazytown not making any sense what-so-ever. Laid to rest was way better.

There are some painfully bad scenes in this movie. It reminded me of an Asylum film at times it was that bad.

I think you're still being generous. IMO this movie had no redeeming qualities, except if you count the "so-bad-it's-funny"-quality, which it definitely had at times.

But the plot was incoherent and ridiculous, the acting was bad, there was not one scary scene, the twist might be the most predictable one I've seen in some years, and it took itself way too seriously for such a ridiculous story.

The greatest fun-moment was when the stupid boyfriend tries to smash in the window with the wooden chair, but clearly hits only the frame and the wall beside it and then is like "oh f..., we're all doomed." delivered very badly, as he does all his lines.

So yea, in company of a few friends and beers, this might be entertaining. But other than that, I think I'll have to go with 1/10.

It's not very good.. That said, I live Robert Englund's performance, the plot is generally neat, and becomes more interesting as it unfolds, and the creature at the end is awesome.

It's worth watching, but you'll have to get through a whole lot of annoying flashing lights and some dumb scenes with boring characters. Reminded me of 13 ghosts, or ghost ship, or the remake of house on haunted hill.. That style where there's too much ugly color, a bunch of people are roaming around a specific location for long periods of time being annoying and unlikeable, lights are always flashing, etc.. Gaudy, ugly.

But again, there's something to enjoy here. See it for Englund, he's the best!
