Why did the mute brothers and Timmy Choi start shooting at each other?

That part didn't make sense to me. The mute brothers seemed to love "master" until they crashed into each other, and then they get into a shootout? they were both running from the cops so what was the point of that?

reply

Felt betrayed because their place had been raided and they had to escape down a hole.

reply

wow. they are the worst shooters. ever. stupidest shootout ever. basically everyone dies. wtf.

reply

As I understand, they were running after seeing the cops because they thought Timmy would blame them for bringing the cops in. Then when the crash happened, they thought Timmy was coming after them, so they started shooting first.

Doesn't make much sense either though.

I think they believed that Timmy ran into them on purpose and he was working with the cops because of that. Unlucky for the bad guy but karma perhaps for turning on his own people!

reply

Cause Timmy was a *beep* weisel and they knew it.

The mutes already knew Timmy betrayed them after the raid. This is shown when they send a message to Timmy's phone that was now in Zhang Lei's (the main cop) possession. Zhang uses their awareness of Timmy's betrayal to set up a trap for them, to which the mutes respond by giving out a false address to test Timmy out --- if he would show up alone or with cops. But they realize Timmy did in fact betray them thinking that Timmy would be smart enough not to show up and get busted.
