British disgrace 2/10. Watch russian original 9/10.

Go watch proper russian adaptaion of "A Young Doctor's Notebook" to see how pathetic this BBC production is.

I ve read the book and i ve watched the russian movie by top russian director Aleksey Balabanov and everything was excellent. BBC production is a pathetic attempt to make the same but it is clear the have no idea what they are doing. It has nothing in common with the book beside title. Looks like all positive votes and reviews are from the production crew and families (~250 looks accurate).

It is funny though to see the tables turned on a British show. Often British shows get remade for America and the Brits swarm all over the American version's IMDb page to sneer at the American version and at Americans in general for being incapable of watching a show unless it has Americans in it.
