Great chemistry

I loved this--amazing miniseries! But what made it work for me the most was the great chemistry between Hamm and Radcliffe--they worked together so well, I thought?

The rest of the cast was also excellent--I just loved watching those two interact.

Personally, I think the show would be better without Hamm's character. A series about the life of a novice doctor in 1917 Russia is great by itself. It really doesn't need a future self to interact.

That would've been good too, but I appreciated the way the two of them talking kind of externalized what he was going through, instead of it just being implied, or passed over a bit. That scene of him trying morphine for the first time would've been a lot less moving if it was just him alone, injecting himself.
