If Jessie's murder was a result of her resisting Julian's advances, why did he make the arrangements beforehand to fly to Paris instead of taking the train. I assume the envelope and message that Mr. Materson had Louie give to Julian referred to the plane's availability and the envelope contained the doctored passport.
