Yes, people prefer the mediocre "Paperman" (a film that STOLE a lot from another short film "Signs").

sharePaperman is all about how hundreds of people pass each other on the streets everyday in big cities such as New York or Chicago and how briefly for a split second they make a connection with their eyes but lose it in an instant. And how one of those connections might be real if we followed it. that is the whole point. they met in the city for just a second but it was more than that. it was destiny that led them together. Adam and dog? dog playing around with human. thee end.
shareYes, "Paperman" is just another superficial and cliched love at first sight film... It stole from "Signs" and Fantastic Books. "Adam and Dog" is about how loyal and forgiving dogs are. Both films plots are very simplistic (they're more about visual storytelling). "Paperman" is no deeper than "Adam and Dog"...
shareWell you have your opinion and i respect it but i disagree. Paperman was much more of a story than adam and dog. On terms of directing Paperman blows adam and dog out the water. Not only was it shorter and more cohesive but every second in the film was something exciting. In Adam and Dog it felt like Lee was trying to get his Malick on. it wasn't working at least for me. But we all have our opinions.
