Sorry, but this was a long slog for me. I'm not a Philistine, but I just need a little more pace and purpose. Very much a chick flick, and a lot of chicks will think it's just too bogged down.

I think a reason for Tabu's slow pace was numerous 'Paradise' scenes were drawn out. For their length not much happens i.e. Aurora and Ventura walking across the plains together. Obviously they are in love shown in their mannerisms, but by this point in Tabu audiences are well aware of this. So this scene felt unnecessarily long as it offered nothing new.

Yes, we are the ones who notice the Emperor is naked. What a bore! And how pretentious. Saw something that was even worse, and from Australia, which you don't normally associate with pretentious auters. "Sleeping Beauty". What an absolute terror. I was just about ripping up the seat with my car keys. And that was at home!
As for your sig., I have noticed that when you point with a dog, it looks in the direction you are pointing. Cats look at your finger with a puzzled expression, but I don't think they are stupid, just not very interested.

If 'Nostalghia' is your idea of "torture", I would hate to know what you consider to be having a good time. If this opinion extends to all of Tarkovsky's work, then I would find ones taste to be questionable in general.
I still haven't seen 'Tabu' yet.

Ha, that's funny because I just referenced Holy Motors on another thread. I loved Holy Motors but I too found this a slog.
