Dig sites and other issues

I really hope they realize just how annoying it is that 60% of every episode is spent showing how hard it is to find someone who will let them dig up their property to find relics. It worked for the first couple of episodes, but I'm pretty sure everyone is tired of it by now.

The sale of the items is also a waste of time since it's more than likely just fabricated for the show. I mean, the family owns a store where they sell things they've found, yet he sells everything they dig up to local dealers never sending anything back to the shop? Yeah, right! lol I'm betting that in reality they dig the stuff up, give the land owners 20% (or whatever % they agree to) of a lowball estimate of the items' wholesale value, and then have everything sent back to sell at the shop for retail.

Also, at the end of each episode they list how much money they've made all together from other digs in the area yet never mention what else they've dug up... I'm hoping that (for season 2) they cut out all the door to door solicitation bs, fake sales and the show goes something like this:

- Initial discussion about the area and property's history, as well as the items they could find there.

- The dig and discussions about the items they do find/their condition and value.

- The property owner's reaction to the items found/getting "free" money.

- An overview of the most interesting/valuable items items they found at other digs in the area and their value.

- Discuss where they're going next.

Cut out all of the drama (real or fake) and this show would be much more enjoyable. American Digger tries way too hard to be a half-hearted combo of American Pickers and Pawn Stars when it could be more entertaining and educational than either of those shows.

And stop saying Boom, Baby every few minutes. You could come up with a drinking game for each time he says the word - baby - sigh. That's annoying!

I couldn't agree more... the "Boom Baby" every 5 minutes makes me cringe. It's way too OTT for my liking!

As for the scouting for locations- my husband and I agree that's the biggest waste of time. We usually fast forward over that segment of each episode!
