Ironic that the baby was a little on the small side at 5.5 lbs.

It's been 2 weeks and no pics of the baby on instagram - hope it is healthy.

Why is that ironic?

reply

The baby should have been huge like her

You ever seen a 600 pound baby?

reply

Yes. Sean.

Buzz-ing. LMAO

I was going to make a "he must take after his daddy" quip, but it seems even more inappropriate now; three and a half months later, and still no pictures on IG. I hope he's okay. Her latest pic was some TBT photo of a clearly older baby. (I'm guessing of Josh back in the day.) Beyond the announcement, nothing said about the baby, at least not on IG.

That is on the small side. Not necessarily bad, but with her health issues, his gestational development is a cause for concern. Hopefully, it's as simple as just remaining private until a TLC update. It looks like Bettie Jo had the spinal surgery for that dangerous mass, based on another newer IG, but no details about it either.

Actually not surprising that the baby was small in an obese woman. The nutrition is actually of poor quality and the mother's circulation would be poor also, due to lack of mobility. Good blood supply is needed to bring good nutrients to the developing baby, and a hugely obese and barely moving mother is going to have neither.

The real miracle is that there was a baby at all.

She ate the baby

I follow her on Facebook and she suffers from bipolar. She frequently has episodes. I think she may have tried to kill herself in the past. It does make me wonder why she would want to have a baby because that would only add to the mental stress along with living in poverty.

I think it makes perfect sense on why she had a baby. She's not the brightest, is helpless, isn't able to take care of herself, is immature and hasn't shown a track record of making great decisions.......people like her have kids all the time because they don't "get it." We are not speaking about educated professionals who consider family planning with financial and time issues brought into the decision, Betty and Josh are kids themselves mentally and probably think having a baby is fun, something they "should" do and deserve.

Sad to say, you're probably right.

Funny thing is her face looks puffy but not obese like the rest of her. Is her problem water retention?
