I don't know how these people survive. None of them work, not even anyone in their family most of the time. Are they all on some kind of assistance? Doug's wife had a job and it showed her going to work. Besides her I can't think of anyone else who has a job.

What I'm always curious about is those who are on disability because they had to have been at a lower weight to get around to doctor appointments or disability hearings, all those things they require you to do to get benefits.
I'm sure most of them put on a lot of the weight after they got approved. If that's the case wouldn't Social Security then say "Sorry, you were mobile enough to get to doctor appointments and make it to a hearing, so you are not disabled. CLAIM DENIED." That's usually what they do so I always wonder how did they get approved to begin with. I don't think it would be for mental illness because most of them said they've never been to a therapist before the one Dr. Now sent them to.

Still it pisses me off some of these people are so fat they are on disability. There is no reason for it. If they lost weight and took care of themselves they could enter the work force. The food these people eat is so expensive and many of them have newer cars. I don't get how they afford them.

No. That's not the case at all. In fact, a great many people who are on disability go to the doctor's on a regular basis. Just because you are mobile enough to go to a doctor's appointment doesn't mean you have the ability to work on a regular basis, or even part time

shareLOL, yes, maybe so. I just thought that though, because I had a friend of a friend who was receiving SSI benefits and she was saying how she once lived in public housing full of crime and crack. She later managed to get on a list for housing for the elderly and disabled which was much nicer.
