and how on earth did the small RUBBER step stool she used to enter her car support all that weight?? No way. We have similar ones in our office and they specifically state that they support up to (roughly) 200 lbs.
I believe she is a Special Education Teacher.
Most of those small steps are rated for a smaller weight, maybe they have heavy duty ones.
Worked for a transportation company and they had heavy duty steps. Pretty inexpensive, maybe $20.
Suspect she was formerly a classroom teacher but when she gained weight they made her special ed so she could work shorter hours with fewer kids who are pulled out of their regular classroom when she comes to work.

LOL...yes I noticed the step stool and wondered the same thing! It looked like one of those cheap, plastic ones you can find at any dollar store and I didn't think it stood a chance of holding any serious weight at all. Obviously it must be a much more sturdy made type of step stool! I'll give Cynthia props for one thing tho....she was pretty ingenious by using that string attached to it so she could pull it back into her vehicle after she got in!

People can say what they want about Cynthia. Yes she had a bad attitude, but unlike many of the other people she got up everyday, got dressed, and went to work. Even though she was huge she cared about her appearance and didn't lay in bed 24/7 with a sheet covering her.

Special Ed, when I was in elementary school, was for kids with physical disabilities or mental retardation that couldn't function in a normal classrolm setting and required more one-on-one attention with their teachers.
We had remedial classes for slower learners, but our SE was always for kids that couldn't be placed in a mainstream classroom and expected to keep up with the other kids. We had a buddy system called Circle of Friends that paired up "normal" kids with special ed kids for lunch and recess; it was mainly helping them navigate the halls and making sure other kids weren't bullying or taking advantage.
It was a really cool program, you felt like the super elite to be trusted by the teachers of both classes to be the guide and example for another student.
