What did you like and dislike about the pilot? Spoilers

Obviously, there will be spoilers.

Ok, so I really enjoyd the pilot. It was fun and the characters were very likable. The acting was very good (I especially enjoyed James Masters & Kyle Schmid's performances). I have to say, I kind of figured out they were father and son the moment Kyle's character Brendan showed up. He looked jealous of the attention Troy was giving Walter and I thought he must be Troy's son.

So I liked the characters which, to me, is the most important aspect. I was left wanting to see more. I wanted to learn more about the characters and their backgrounds. The training was fun also. The progress of the story was ok as well, not too fast and not too slow.

Now to the negatives. Obviously the idea is not original but the dynamics between the characters made up for that. It is the way they carried the idea that made it all right. The show needs to take itself more seriously and I'm not talking about the humour, the humour added a nice touch to the show, no I mean they need to make the action more believable and serious. The scene where Brendan hit the big guy and he just passes out looked very staged. There were some cliche moments as well, less of those would be nice.

Thats all I could think of right now.

Anyone else want to share their thoughts?

Good Show. They could have eliminated the first hour and gone right to the interesting stuff. The last hour was MUCH better than the intro. I like the guy who does the smell stuff. He's funny. I don't know yet about the lead actor (the 3 inches guy). I think if they made the arrogant guy (the son of Troy), well if they had made HIM the lead, there would have been more personality in the performance.

But so far, I like it.

Too much whining and complaining in the first part poor me, can't get a girl, don't like super power, oh life is so hard, wah wah wah.
In my opinion they could have done a whole lot more in the pilot than what they give us
I also think that the male lead is a little weak but it was just once episode.

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
