Not the best movie, but I LOVED it :D

It is definitely one of the BETTER gay romance films out there. Yes it's a bit sappy and the writing can go bad...but I like sappy, cute movies, and I REALLY liked the characters and main romance so adorable. Plus the cast was actually pretty good (mostly), and the lead guys were well-rounded and likable. Yeah I do wish Gavin was a bit more flawed, but he honestly was my PERFECT man, and I'm totally crushing on Jason T. Gaffney :) I love my men adorkable. ;)

The movie is technically a 6...but I am giving it an 8 because I was totally entertained and I really got into the film.

Agreed. I've watched it twice over the past couple of months and have found it to be enjoyable both times.

Just wish it would come out on Bluray (rather than DVD) and I'd quickly add it to my movie collection.

I agree with you in terms of its technical score... it was lighting and sound issues that shouldn't have gone unedited. Some of the younger actors aren't great, but I'm definitely not going to say they're bad. None of them overacted, which a lot of actors with less experience tend to do.
I also liked the natural and fluid means with which the gay romance and interactions were all handled. I read that this movie was a first attempt at a film, a script, and producing by the couple responsible for the film, and their son who played Gavin hasn't acted in a film either. So it was a great first effort... if not entirely fluffy. But a little fluff is fine with me, so long as it doesn't try to be more than it is. A movie can't be fluffy and deep at the same time, it just doesn't work.

It was wonderfully shot, vibrant, sometimes funny, sometimes quite lovely. Just a simple, smile-inducing venture. I normally am a fan of the darker themes; the layered storylines, but I loved this little gem.

Plus I wish I had that house.

Completely agree with everyone's comments on here. It wasn't the best movie but it had a good heart and it was really sweet. I thought the acting could have been a bit more natural but I still thought it was pretty convincing and I enjoyed pretty much all the characters. The parents were sweethearts (took me a few seconds to realize that was Buffy's mom) and the sister was lovely as well. I'm not sure I was sold on the chemistry between Gavin and Paul but I'll give them points for giving them time to get to know each other instead of just forcing them together out of nowhere like some films attempt to do. It definitely puts a smile on your face and I appreciate that.
