Portmanteau horror revival..

..at last. It had to happen, I'm just surprised its taken so long.

Portmanteau used to be commonplace in British horror with studios like Hammer and Amiqus shocking audiences with classics like "Tales from the Crypt", "Torture Garden" and "Dead of Night".

I've been waiting for some bright young filmmakers to revive the tradition, and it seems Safehouse Pictures UK are among the first to take-up the mantle and really run with it.

"Eschatrilogy" is a collection of fantasy monster shorts comprising "A Father for the Dead", "The Dying Breed" and "Dead Inside" framed by a story involving a clash between battling elemental forces.

I wish I knew more. I want to know more. I can't wait to see this movie!! :)

You should never meet your heroes. You'll only disappoint them...
