this show is amazing (spoilers)

such a fantastic plot. well written. amazing acting. so fascinating. and filmed really cool. i love everything about it and im so sad there isnt a second season. i have no idea where theyd go from there. considering Sebastian and Nadja turned into something we arent sure of. Apparently the curse is broken so Sofie has no powers at all really. And the dad is dead...so things would obviously be run different. But was their idea to now find a way to stop whatever happened to Sebastian and Nadja being brought back from the dead by a witch? Maybe thats the entire second season. They looked evil. So I guess Sofie would have to fight against her own brother this time. I'm not sure I liked that ending. I enjoyed how the curse was broken, they became normal, and Sebastian was able to be brought back. But I think all of that should have happened several seasons in. They let too much happen too soon and maybe thats why it was cancelled. I think there could have been a lot more stuff happen before all becomes well, and then maybe by the end of Season 2 go the direction they did at the end of season 1. Either way I loved it and enjoyed watching it very much.

There actually were two seasons. Season One (five episodes) was broadcast in 2014. Season Two (three episodes) followed in 2015.

The fact that Season Two was two episodes shorter than the first season, plus the narrative suddenly going into fast-forward (compared to the sedate pace of Season One) indicates to me that the first season of the show, while managing to get audience figures just healthy enough to justify a second season, wasn't particularly successful. I believe the makers of Heartless knew that the reduced second season would also be the last, and that's the reason why the storyline in Season Two positively gallops along and brings the whole saga to a definite end (apart from a couple of plot threads left dangling).

I suspect you must have already seen it. In your original post you wrote;

Sebastian and Nadja being killed and then resurrected by the school principal's youngest daughter, Sofie breaking the curse, and the principal himself getting gunned down by his eldest daughter, all occurs in the final episode of the second season.

As I explained in my previous post, Season One consists of five episodes, Season Two has three episodes. If you've seen eight episodes then you've watched both seasons.

Sebastian and Nadja turned into something

THAT is what is going to be bugging me for a long time. How did being brought back from the dead alter them so much? Having been brought back, are they immortal now? Do they both have to go through eternity wearing sunglasses?

Well at least the Sebastian and Nadja can be whatever the hell they are together.

I did like the twist that the love that broke the curse was between Sofie and Emilie, that will twist the knickers of the bigots.
