That's very heartbreaking.
I have had dogs around me all my life. And, even though we have lost them, it doesn't feel right not having them around, so we eventually get another one or two. Or three. We have 3 right now.
They are a big part of the family and it is hard when they pass away.
I know how Ree feels.

My thoughts are w/ the family. What a crappy way to start the year.
