Hiding the brand names

Ree uses a lot more packaged and prepared ingredients than your average TV chef, so one of the amusements in watching this show is the effort put into hiding the brand names on the various bottles/cans/boxes/jars.

I don't think I've ever not been able to guess the brand name of the product she's using, though, so I don't think their efforts are extremely thorough. She loves Tapatío hot sauce, Heinz anything, and her got-to cheap beer is Foster's.

I've noticed that anytime someone uses Daisy brand sour cream on that channel, they never bother to disguise the label...

I agree that she does use a lot of processed food, and I haven't even ever watched her show. I've come across her recipes all over the internet and have read mentions of her on other blogs that raved about her. I've come to the conclusion that the other bloggers admire her success and her photography skills, if not her cooking/baking ingredients.

To me, a baking recipe should not contain a mix (cake, brownie, cookie, etc.). A recipe is supposed to be how to avoid using those things.

P.S. I don't consider her a chef -- home cook (home baker) is a more appropriate term.
