Now the update is out...

When are they gonna patch it so it works properly?

Problems I have found.

1) Newly generated worlds are COVERED in trees.
Yes I know trees are needed, a lot. But pre-update worlds contained a more "sensible" amount of tress. Some areas would be more open, some would have trees, etc. After the update EVERYWHERE has trees, except desert areas...and every surface is covered in trees. I have started 5 different worlds, some using seeds, some left random and every single one is just a tree-fest. I spend most of my time setting fire to trees just to clear some room.

2) Lack of animals/poor AI animals.
Where are the sheep, cows, pigs and chickens? All the new worlds I have created I very rarely see any of these animals, even after I level out an area and turn it all into grass to attract animals. However...a hell of a load of wolves. Wolves everywhere, leave a door open in my house and 6/8 wolves spawn in it. Normally if I set up some farm land, unless I use fences the place would be covered in various animals. Now...wolves and more wolves.
What happened to the squid? They used to swim around the water sometimes you'd see them near the surface...now they just gather at the very bottom of a water area and jiggle about a lot. It's like there is a squid magnet down there.

3) Rare items that should not be rare.
Roses...where have they gone? I know they are supposed to be rarer than the yellow flowers...but I've not seen a single red flower in any of my worlds...ever but loads and loads of yellows. 5 different worlds I've created, not 1 rose? These things are rarer than diamond. Is this just me with this problem?

4) "Randomly" generated villages.
Technically they are "random" as they will appear in different places on every world. However, each "random" village is EXACTLY the same on every world you create. All have the exact same buildings, exact same scenery, exact same layout, etc...not so "random" after all?


Not only have all these problems popped up in all 5 of my worlds, but my friends have also spotted the same problems in their worlds.

I do have more problems with the update.
Now while I do think the game has been "improved" via the new blocks and enemies, etc. They have "broken" some of the basics, the update needs tweaking. If I'm honest, I preferred the game pre-update. Yes it lacked some of the blocks and features...but it was more "balanced" in many other ways.

Thanks for the free update 4J, but you do need to balance out this update.
