It goes beyond any fantasy imagined in a human's mind.. I am too a fan of disturbing films, I thought i have seen everything and doesn't hurt me emotionally but this one is a really tough one, you are likely going to think about it every single day in your life really.. Consider this a warning but if you like disturbing films go to watch it immediately..
I thought this film was more disturbing than A Serbian Film. Mainly because this film was played totally straight.
I'm completely convinced that A Serbian Film is a satire and not meant to be taken totally seriously. Some of the dialogue, it's delivery and the onscreen carnage comes off as far too tongue in cheek. While the subject matter is disturbing, the execution and tone of the film are not, but that's okay. If the humor was intentional, which I think it was, the film still works as a shockingly funny dark satire.

A Serbian Film is so over the top, it's to laughable to be as shocking as wants to be, though it is a well produced film.
Eden Lake stuck with me longer than A Serbian Film. Serbski was just corny. Messed up, but too corny. So, Funny Games (either film), Eden Lake and The Girl Next Door (not the one where Elisha Cuthbert moves next door to Emile Hirsch...) were (IMO) more disturbing than Found or Serbski. Even Found's sister film "Headless" was more disturbing. Amazing gore in that one for those of you who like slashers with lots of gore.

shareA Serbian Film is a statement about the Serbian government and the Serbian film industry. There is a point to it, its not like August Underground where it is just graphic to be edgy and cool.
