I thought they had been discovered

I agree that it was pretty anti-climatic. It felt like a lot rising action without much falling action. This show has always been a slow burn, but this time around it felt more just....slow. Some parts were good, sure, but we've seen better from this show.

I'm glad they have another season and it didn't go out like that. I still have faith it'll end well and look forward to the next season!
Can someone clear up the ending for me? So basically [spoiler] Philip has to keep his operation with Kimmy going and they can't end their tour now that one of their asset's is of higher importance? [/spoiler]

I just wasn't connecting the dots when it was first coming about and wanted to make sure I was reading that correctly.

I agree it was very quiet for a season finale. The 'cliffhanger' of Pasha was resolved quickly and quietly, he's fine and going home. Nobody got caught or even almost got caught. Pastor Tim is leaving and Paige is okay with it and everything is fine there too.
The scenes with Stan & his girlfriend went nowhere, there were no big revelations about her being another spy, although she did try to get hm to stay in his job which is something a spy might do.
The scene of the polygraph test went nowhere... the guy passed the test and nothing interesting happened. Martha might adopt a kid? I mean that's nice but it's not exciting and Martha isn't even in the action anymore. Do they just hand out kids to anyone who seems lonely? I think Martha needs a lover more than a kid or a puppy. And there was NOTHING at all with Oleg and his storyline was much more important than Martha's. I expected the Oleg storyline to go somewhere!

There was just a whole lot of slow, quiet scenes that seemed more like they belong in the middle of a season, scenes that didn't have any real payoff. They might eventually have a payoff next season, but then they don't belong in the finale, kwim? I just expect more from a finale. I expect that all the slow buildup from this season would have more payoff.

Agreed, that long sequence definitely made it feel like something was coming. Unless we're supposed to carry that feeling into next season. I see many have complained about this season being slow. I somewhat agree with that, but feel like it's all set-up, and next season will just be very action-packed, maybe almost too much so to make up for this season. Maybe that's part of why they're only doing ten episodes instead of the usual thirteen. As usual though, I have no idea where the show's going next or what to expect, which I love.

I thought the way Laurie Holden manipulated Stan to stay where he was in his job- not really caring if he feels "shitty" all of the time. I strongly believe she is an Operative- Soviet maybe CIA.

Also to all who are disappointed with the show- if you're old enough to remember the Cold War it was very tense and conversely it was like the obliteration of civilization wasn't possible- but it was and is. I thought the tension was thick this season.
