Will this go into the end of the USSR?

I am only into the second season but I want to know.
Will it do that part of history, perhaps even showing a young Putin on the Berlin Wall, their loss at the hands of a very unlikely alliance, Brehznev's visit to the US, Chernobyl and stuff like that?

The show hasn't gotten that far yet and may never reach that point. Unless at the end they do a leap forward and look backwards at events. People might tire of the show leading to lower ratings and its being cancelled.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

There are two seasons left. Unless there are massive time jumps within the final two seasons and between the seasons, we will probably not see the end of the USSR. The show may cover Chernobyl. I think the final season will cover 1986, but that's a best guess. It's possible they might show end of the USSR via a flashforward of some type.

Follow up question: Would you(fans of the show) like to see the end of the USSR from the point of view of Directorate S and FBI Counter Intelligence in a flashforward and/or a (fake)Putin cameo?

reply

I'd rather see a flashforward from the perspectives of the characters. While the show has mentioned real people, they have rarely shown our characters directly interacting with them. A fake Putin cameo would seem out of place with the rest of the show/series.

Why would they go into that old stuff? The show takes place in current time.

I do believe the series takes place in the 80,s mostly, One hint the new white
Z28 Camaro they buy is early to mid 80,s and they show Reagan as the president and when they went to Germany there was still a wall and a east and west and they still refer to the soviet union instead of just Russia.at least it seems that way to me, but I could just be high! now that reminds me of the 80,s!!!
