non-plausible family life and "Larrick type" of work

My biggest frustration with this really awesome TV show is the mutually exclusive combo of:

1) Rapidly changing multiple cars, multiple identities and having a few very close calls with FBI , CIA and police requires "Andrew Larrick" style of operation and preparation: no apartments, no presence in the "real life", no attachments, plenty of escape routes, "lone wolf" or "tight crew" MO.
Something like in the move "Heat" - "You should be able to leave in 30 seconds if you sense a heat around the corner"

2) Having a permanent residency, two teenage kids , schools, "BBQs and ball-games" is (was?) very possible for the "deep cover" KGB agents, but they should be doing some "less jumpy", more analytical way of espionage. Definitely not putting people on suitcases and make "fake marriages" to people like Martha.

Those two worlds just do not co-exist.
