Why so few comments posted?

I liked it. Were there a bunch of bad comments that got zapped?

Agree? Surprised more people aren't discussing.

It is a tad quiet here as a lot did happen during Bush Sr. that long term effected the world. Compared to the volumes on Reagan, Clinton, Nixon, or even Carter, Bush Sr. seems to be treated like a modern Taft. (He followed the great leader but he was not loved and replaced by a Democrat who changed things greatly.)

However, the documentary spent more time letting Bush ramble on about his love of dogs than serving as VP for Ronald Reagan for 8 years. He commented that Reagan was a better communicator (Duh!) and did not like policy details (Duh Again!). For a VP he was very active in the Reagan administration and was an asset to the administration.

That said he was President during the ending of the Cold War with no shots. It does not seem fair Reagan gets all the praises while it was the Bush administration that kept the peace during the time. (Also the S&L financial bust of the late Reagan years led to the long slow recession of the 1991.) He did successfully execute the Iraq war with a successful exit strategy. (Being too successful as he had gotten Saddam that might have changed the course of the 1992 election.)

Very little on the 1992 election, where Ross Perot really did hurt Bush Sr. in the election and allowed Slick Willy to take the election. That said if you watch any of the youtube videos of Clinton and Bush, you easily understand why Bill Clinton did win. He just seemed so much fresher in 1992.

Because few people care about the Bush Dynasty and would like to forget it.
