Did anybody else find the score extremely unnecessary? It felt like they were trying to make it frightening with the music alone. Are we in the 90's? Just a cheap trick.

You are aware that this is a remake of a 70's ozploitation movie right? The director himself said in interviews that it's a homage to old school movies like the ones from Hammer horror films and it's Pino Donaggio's music so no complains from me.

I think the score was well done and added to the tension. I prefer that kind of music in a horror film over loud pop/rock music. I like pop/rock just not so much in horror movies.
