The hate for this film

I haven't seen the film but I have noticed how much hate it has got. People complaining that it is crude and the acting is not up to standard etc. However i always thought that this was Leigh Francis' kind of shtick. Even dating back to Bo' Selecta, he always had B-listers on it (usually making fun of them) and was very crude (the teddy bear springs to mind); yet that show is generally hailed as being good. Celebrity Juice also has a 'so bad its funny' kind of feel to it (crappy props, rubbish guests) and that has been very popular.

I'm just wondering are these the kind of problems that are giving the film such low ratings? Maybe it just doesn't translate very well to film. If there is someone who has seen the film and has an opinion on it (good or bad) I'd really like to hear about it.

Perhaps there is something in that, as I felt it delivered exactly what I expected based on all the shizzle he's done in the past. Or perhaps it's that the focus is so much on Keith Lemon, whereas Celebrity juice is much more than just one person, it's a collective. Just for the record I watch CelJu religiously but have never favoured Bo Selecta and cannot bring myself to watch his new show.

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of your previous post. I took a risk and and went to see it and...it was really bad. I cant quite put my finger on why though. I too am a fan of 'Celebrity Juice' but the film just felt like a cold-hearted attempt at trying to cash in on the Keith Lemon phenomenon. Felt very lazy on Leigh Francis' part.

Anything happens in that five minutes and I'm yours. No matter what.

There is no substitute for watching the film yourself, if you're that curious, surely? Personally, I feel I've seen enough of his "talents" to last me a life time.
