A racist, misogynist, homophobic, crude and unfunny film. AWFUL!

I am in no way exaggerating when I tell you that this film is the worst thing I've ever had the displeasure of watching. The so-called "plot" is a joke, the humour is lacking and any attempts at comedy fail miserably. Any film that acts like a cameo from Jedward or Fearne Cotton is a star draw needs to get a reality check.

I've listed my main issues with the film in the link below

http://dalephoenix.com/2012/08/25/keith-lemon-the-film-2012-review/

but I think the phrase that best sums it up is "I’m far from prudish, but there are only so many childish evocations of Kelly Brook’s vaginal passages that any sane human can take".

Just awful.

What did you expect from this film and why did you go to see it?

Just because you're
paranoid it doesn't
mean that they're
not watching.

reply

I didn't expect a lot and I went to see it because I have an interest in cinema.

And besides, that doesn't make any of those things less wrong/bad.

No, hold on. I'm with the OP.

I decided to ignore many bad reviews because I've been quite immersed in cinema in 2012 and this deserved to be given a chance as much as any other film I've seen this year.

However, what it does not deserve is to be praised. I stand by what the OP says about it being racist and homophobic etc.

It is a poorly made and poorly written film with the most vile, warped and unfunny "humour/jokes" I've seen for a long time. It competes with Jack and Jill for the worst film of the year.

I personally know little about Keith Lemon but whether the OP did or not is besides the point - Lemon could've done a U-turn and produced something gold - how would he have known without first going to see it?

I haven't seen Punch Drunk Love yet (despite meaning to) but Adam Sandler's performance in it is often cited as surprisingly good. Based on what we're used to, who'd have been expecting that?

No. As he clearly explained, he saw it due to his interest in cinema, as did I upon watching it tonight.

If you read his review in full, and look at his page, it's plain to see his interest in cinema. I share a similar viewpoint; I believe him.

But tell me, what did you think of the film?

I agree with you (bdem) and the OP.

I go to see movies all the time (weekly)...

I have to say that I expected a different film to this even though I know exactly what Keith Lemon is about.... (I kind of like Bo' Selecta but I detest Celebrity Juice)

I guess I expected something with a plot (ali g in da house style)

this "film" (I use the quotations very, very loosely) is for the kids you see with cider bottles outside of the local shop....

Lets build a snowman!

After reading the OP review has made me WANT to see the film Sounds better than I thought it would be.

Once there was a very ugly barnacle. He was so ugly that everybody died. The End

I don't think it's fair to say it's "racist, misogynist, or homophobic" any racist / misogynistic / homophobic undertones are quite clearly tongue in cheek and the humour is directed towards the culprit not the victim. Having said that it's still a crap film.

"A racist, misogynist, homophobic, crude and unfunny film. AWFUL!"

You should see a doctor about that stick.

Keith Lemon as a character is all those things you described, the humour was never going to be anything different as that is the way the character is.
Do you go to see a Rambo movie and expect to see a comedy?

Although as a Keith lemon fan, this film was pretty bad.
