The music makes the movie....

Was really looking forward to this, as B&S are among my all-time favorites, and am still quite taken by the GHTG pre-film cd.

That said, I walked into this with an open mind. It felt like a long form music video, where the music was the main point. The drama was only there to flush out the themes behind each song.

I was impressed with Emily Browning's voice, she did the songs justice. Can't say the same for the girl that played Cassie, she was hard to bare at times.....

It will be interesting to see if Stuart Murdoch makes another effort at film. But until than I welcome anything he releases musically!
