How old was everyone supposed to be? James and Eve especially looked about twelve to me. Eve is applying for/going to go to college in the film but in the UK college suggests something different and is typically started around 16. Presumably Eve would be getting started on that a little later because of her time in the hospital. In one of the songs she refers to being 25 but I couldn't tell if that was sincerely meant.
Did anybody catch anything I'm missing here?
I suppose that Eve would be in her 20s, after all she finished school in Australia and followed a boy to Scotland... somehow I doubt that Australian parents are that laid back to let an underage girl go all by herself to live in Europe.

She might have left Australia at 18, but some time has passed between then and her being in Scotland by the time the movie starts.
shareYeah I wondered this too. I am not sure why they said "college" not "university". I got the impression she moved with a boy shortly after finishing high school in Australia i.e. 18-19. And that had been a few years prior. I also caught the reference to the guy being nearly 25 which I thought perhaps was a line? I got the feeling her and the guy were early 20s. The other girl was clearly still in school so 17-18.
