DOES JIMMY KNOW SQUAT?

Jimmy said Bonnie & Clyde sent a letter to Henry Ford about the Ford being the best car to steal. No, that was Dillinger.
Jimmy was looking at a 1972 Chevy Chevelle and said 1972 was the last year for the hot rods. No, it was 1970.
Jimmy said in the 70's, you could buy gas for 19 cents a gallon anywhere you wanted to.......No, gas was 38 - 40 cents a gallon.
Jimmy, quit trying to be a "history buff" without first using fact check.

LOL towtrucks- to answer your question, probably not. But to be fair, maybe gas was 19 cents a gallon in the early 70's in LA and cheaper than elsewhere ?
I think it was 35 cents a gallon up here in the North East at that time.

Now the letter, I recalled hearing that story but wasn't sure who sent it... I was leaning toward Clyde but wasn't certain... so I checked. Seems they both supposedly did... Clyde in April 1934 and John a month later in May 1934.

But it appears that unlike Clyde's letter, John's letter was determined to be a hoax.... most likely sent by some jokester as a result of Clyde's letter... so as hard as it is to believe one of these shows actually got something right.

I would add that Jimmy said it was Clyde though because he was a local boy...

Actually, he said 1972 was the last year for muscle cars, not hot rods. And he was right. In 1973 they started requiring auto makers to put all that smog-control crap on their cars, and most of them dropped the horsepower way down.
