Absolutely loved it I got goosebumps everywhere just watching it. As for the time gap during the panel Neil Druckmann said that Ellie is now 19 years old.

As a poster noted before me, given this trailer I'd say a minimum of 5/6 years has elapsed since the end of the first game, if not more time than that. What I am curious about is how Ellie and Joel arrived at the point shown in this trailer.
My guess is that the Fireflies, or perhaps another group, attacked or massacred the town they were living in and the people they were living with. I would hate to see the Joel/Ellie father/daughter relationship deteriorate and so hope that Ellie's hatred is aimed at this other group. Nothing says that it will, but we know that Joel lied to her, so she would have every right to be pissed off about that.
I am also curious to see how far they must travel in this game. One element of the first game which I absolutely love was their travels through the eastern part of the former U.S. TPTB did such a great job of world building in the first game (and in Left Behind) I hope they are able to duplicate that feat with part II.
