Does this story need a sequel, though? ...

TLoU is an amazing story with an absolutely fantastic ending... yes, ending!

I adore the fact that we are left with our own imagination about how they will live together.
Some people hated it, some people wanted more, but it's a perfect way to end the journey. I personally would love to see a different story from a different perspective, since they established a gigantic world with so many interesting characters.

Uncharted 4 was a mediocre sequel, in my opinion.

I really hope they won't make it same for TLoU part 2

Part of me says "Hell yeah it needs a sequel", but I also completely understand the hesitancy about it. Sequels can be disappointing when they were never planned for.

In addition to the brilliant story of the first game I loved the locations and actually felt it was lacking a little bit in that regard. To be honest I can see my minute gripe being a case of "give a mouse a cookie and they'll want a glass of milk", as far as locations go.

I'm from the west coast of the U.S. and have never been back east. So (just video game world or not) the chance to see post cordycep-apocalyptic Boston, Boston outskirts, Pittsburgh, and Pittsburgh outskirts was awesome.

My favorite part of the first game was the atmosphere. If Part II can replicate what part I did in that regard then it will be great.

I am wondering where they will or can go. My first assumption is that the Fireflies will be the main antagonists of the second game, but that is only a guess on my part, and not a difficult one to make. I trust TPTB to do right by the first game in making a second great game.
