Moot point. As you said he was already in World War Z. He won't be cast in a second zombie flick belonging to a different franchise.

reply

Ever heard of catwoman? Yeah it exist

reply

Two words; Guy Pearce.

One film; The Rover.

THAT...! Is Joel!

reply

I don't think he's a very good actor.

reply

Nah. The best two I can come up with are Josh Brolin and Gerard Butler.

reply

Jim Caviezel - Person of Interest would be my choice for Joel.

The rest could be played by the folks who voiced them except for Ellie she is to old.

I'm sure there is another young Olsen sibling lying in wait.

Russians don't take a dump without a plan son, whats his plan?..Admiral Painter -Hunt for Red October

reply

I always thought Jeffrey Dean Morgan would be the perfect Joel and Chloe Grace Moretz as Ellie. To me, that's great casting.

reply

I don't see Chloe as Ellie. She's a little too old now anyway. But Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a very good pick.

reply

To myself, the best choice for Joel is Robert Downey Jr.

reply

not really...i cant think of anything but Ironman when i see him on screen..and also he doesnt have that "special pain" in his eyes..Brad has in Babel

reply

Do not get me wrong, Brad Pitt is an amazing actor who can brilliantly pull off any role that he is given to portray. However, he just strikes myself as being more of the John Marston type from "Red Dead Redemption" than he does the Joel type from "The Last of Us". Even so, he would still be brilliant in the role of Joel if he were cast in the part. While it is thoroughly understandable for anyone nowadays to see Robert Downey Jr. as no one else other than Tony Stark/Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is actually an incredible actor if you have seen all of his other works outside of Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes and I believe that giving him the opportunity of playing the role of Joel would give himself a different challenge.

reply

I'd be fine with that I'd like him as Tommy better

reply

Tom Skerritt.
