A big coincidence!

All the photos shown by black woman's boss to her, missed Ben Affleck's face shot! I think this was a too big a coincidence to be ignored. If I have been in her place, I would have questioned this and seen it with suspicion.

What do you guys think?

By the way, I know there have been theories circulating around in this board that the boss was just testing her, knowing all along all about Ben Afleck. I don't agree with this, as I don't think there had been any kind of indication of this, in the film. And even if thats true, there is no reason for the black woman, to not show her suspicion or raise some kind of doubt.

He threatened her with jail time, so even if she suspected it was a game, she had to play along. My guess is, she thought he was genuine.

That's the dumbest rumor I've seen on IMDB in a long time.

As for the "coincidence," well it's true. It does bend credibility a little. But then again, there were not THAT many photos with him in it. Four, maybe five? It's not inconceivable that they never got his face, especially since he was never the main subject of that surveillance.

Right, but modern surveillance doesn't involve taking only 5 photos. And remember that these were at various locations. That would mean that either they were only taking one or two photos or that they were selecting the worst possible image and throwing away the other 1000. (or 10,000)

With my cell phone I can take hours of video, tens of thousands of images. In the palm of my hand. The FBI can only get one or two images on each location? This might have made sense in the 1940s when you had to hand crank a camera and film was a luxury, but this is the 21st century.

The other option is that Wolff was always with his back to the camera, sometimes walking backwards or to the side.

Really, there is no explanation that does not make this absurd. It really bothered me in the movie. Actually, now that I hear the "testing" theory, that is the first thing that makes sense.

If the movie had mostly black characters I would refer to the one white as the "white woman". It's easier when you don't remember the character's name.

I don't think he meant anything by that. Why so uptight? People need to take deep breaths and breathe a bit more. And try to give people the benefit of the doubt unless obvious.

If you're doing surveillance on someone, there would be face shots of everyone being surveilled.

The accountant was actually very devious.

Whenever he worked with the mob, he wore a mask that looked like the back of his head,
Plus, shoes with extra heels in front, pants with two seats, etc.

So, it always APPEARED as if he was being photographed from the back.

But there was an indication of this in the film. Justine (aka The Brit) called the house while the T-Men were there and knew who MaryBeth was. It seems pretty obvious from that scene that this was all a test/puzzle to see if she was worthy of taking over once Ray retired.
