Did they address this massive oversight about Ben Kingsley's 'new' body?

I enjoyed this movie overall, and watching just a few minutes of it 30 minutes in a few days ago I DVR'd it figuring the wife would enjoy as well.

So we watched the whole thing a few nights ago and it was decent and also fun to watch.

One thing that troubles me, though, is the fact that Ryan Reynold's original character had the USMC tat on his arm. I understand this can be removed, but of course it leaves a mark, and Ryan even looked at and noticed this in the movie, after all the chaos unfolded.

So how did Ben Kingsley, living inside Ryan's body, not notice this giant scar on his arm the whole time he was learning his new skin and doing the hibbidy dibbidy with all the ladies, etc?

Did he inquire about this early in the film and I missed it?

When Damien woke up, after the shedding, he did notice the scar. He didn't say anything.

Odd. Thank you. At least he looked at it. Maybe they addressed it in a deleted scene, or perhaps he just never 'got back to it'.

Who says he didn't notice it? Maybe when you saw him look at the scar it wasn't the first time he looked at the scar.
