I like a good western, but this one disappointed me, despite the strong cast. My DVD box tells me it's a 94 minute film which felt like it dragged out over 2 hours. Much of the second half of the film is filled with close - up conversations between Dan and Jane in near darkness. (This, in spite of some beautiful exterior visuals from earlier in the film.) I was actually looking forward to the flashbacks, so I could see something. Then we get what should have been the spectacular finale gunfight, which is again filmed in close-up from virtually the one perspective and again in near darkness (briefly lit up with the fire). Beats me what was going down much of the time.
It gets no more than 5/10 from me, which is a pity, because I think there probably was the basis of a good oater there somewhere.🐭
