Its funny how the pc-liberals and ignorant rednecks have found common ground over this movie. PC'ers seem upset it didn't fulfill their revisionist desires of rewriting female history, and the retards on the other side keep complaining aboht something that also didn't happen, even though they think it did.

This movie didnt set jane up as some kick-ass female who got the job done when no man could. It was actually quite the opposite, it was a relatively realistic portrayal of what a woman was up against at this time and was saved by a man.

People can be upset all they want, but it seems to me that it all centers around agendas. Most everyone here (not all) seems to have one, and only argue to promote their liberal/redneck narrative.

I think you might be right in your analysis, because the reception this movie received was ridiculous compared to the actual quality of the film. I've seen couple of other westerns that came out last year and those are borderline terrible. This on the other hand is a real, competently made movie. Not necessarily great, but 5.8 is absurd.
