Shooting format? 35mm or digi?

Was just wondering - does anyone know what format Electrick Children was shot on?

It's a stunning film - shot in some beautiful locations. It totally looks like 35mm to me, but I know some digital cameras can now produce pretty good colours too.

Any ideas? Would love to try and make something that looks like this one day!

Digital for sure. i saw a trailer that involved some rolling shutter artifacts that were very present.

The Arri Alexa has a mechanical shutter.

Actually digital cameras have been better than film for a few years now. Greater contrast range and resolution and low light performance on digital sensors now.
