Not sure what to make of it, but it was fun
I didn't read any of his work, so whenever I see "Lovecraftian" as a description I am not sure exactly what to expect, but body horror and evil spirits etc..
This movie felt like a guilty pleasure, like the kind of thing that would come on cinemax late at night when we were kids.
It had some sexy sex, and over the top gore, and a general pulp-y vibe.
I saw a bunch of promos for it on social media, and it grabbed my interest. I can't say I loved it, but it was a sugary not-too-deep fun time.
