I don't heard kids saying it at ALL
I don't seem to recall kids saying Transform and Roll Out either, but these aren't intended to be mimicked quotes. Just fun character lines. Lines like, "
zoinks," "
Tish French," "
yabba dabba doo," or "
NEWMAN!" These just help to give the characters more life. We all tend to say some words more than others("
actually" is one of mine in real life), so fictional characters having something oft said just breaths that extra spark into them. The quirkier the phrase, the more it stands out.
I will miss having new episodes for the show. This has been one of the better Transformers series(I would place it fourth from the top of the ones I have seen.) I know it was aimed at a younger audience, but target demographics shouldn't limit quality of a show. Rescue Bots is one example of quality writing for a younger demographic. I can think of several shows aimed at ADULTS that had sophomoric and inept writing. I personally liked the focus on characters, continuity, and light hearted tone they set. It gives you a warm feeling when you watch it. I like being able to ENJOY the shows I am watching, and not question why I am watching a well written show that make me feel awful inside after seeing each episode. The handling of the citizens was nice in that these are fundamentally real people, but with a comedic look at them. Mayor Luskey is a more typical politician, not very knowledgeable but he means well, and very preoccupied with being reelected. Your typical Amoral reporter with Huxley Prescott. And the twist of Mrs. Neederlander having a heart of gold under her crusty exterior made her all the more enjoyable. What I love about it, is that none of these characters are villains, or heroes. They all have flaws, and strengths, and are properly realized people. The level of thought put into the characters started to surprise me after a while. Superficially they may seem like caricatures, but they are all thought out characters. Even the Mayor proved to be more competent at his job than we realized and it fit with everything we had previously seen with him.
I never knew the black kid who resembles Urkle (without suspenders) was the Mayor's assistant! And then was a prominent character when Chase became mayor!
That was Mr. Alper. It was never made clear what precisely his job was, but he serves on the city council and seems to be the undersecretary to the mayor. He also is part of a local band on Griffon Rock!
That would be awesome to cast the island characters with actors, bring in a REAL Decepticon or two
They did, season four episode twenty. I personally don't think bringing the Cybertronian war into the show proper would have been a good decision.
