I gave this show an 8.

This show doesn't deserve the 3.6 its garnished so far. Its a great show to watch with your kids. If you're watching this show and slamming on it for being too " kiddy " or accusing the show of lacking any originality, you forget the most important factor; This is a show that is mommy approved. In fact, my wife also sits down with our boy and me to enjoy this show. She even has a favorite character, Boulder, whom she states " Smiles all the time! "

I get two people coming up to me asking me when its gonna be on, now. :)

This show should get of gotten a 10 from me, but I'm a transformer-kid. They should've just used the Protectobots instead of creating new variations of old characters.

Agreed, it's a very fun show to watch. Though I don't actively go out of my way to keep up with it, I was still entertained by every episode I've seen so far.

I don't usually fuss about over IMDb ratings, but this is one that I just can't accept. It's not a baldy made show in any respect... the animation's a bit unusual, but that's pretty much it. I know it's an unconventional Transformers series in that it doesn't deal with the war between the Autobots and Decepticons, but hey, that's why we have Prime, and Rescue Bots is highly watchable regardless. It shouldn't be treated as a standalone show, because it isn't. It's more of a "complementary" series to Prime (and in my opinion, easily the better of the two -- which shows you don't necessarily need any Decepticons or Optimuses to make a good Transformers cartoon).

heh isn't this show aimed at kids age 3-5? so i guess all the votes are from retarded adults that aren't clear on the concept 'you are not a kid age 3 to 5, you are not the target demographic, stop trying to review it through the eyes of a 30 year old cynical adult'

Nothing else can account for the low score. As kids' shows go, Rescue Bots is brilliant, and I was surprised at the amount of continuity nods and media references it had that only older fans would get. The season finale was also pretty dark and violent -- wouldn't have felt out of place in a "normal" Transformers cartoon.

It's a solid and intelligently-written show, one of the franchise's best in terms of overall quality (I can hardly believe that the mess that is TF: Prime was handled by many of the same people), and I'll be tuning in for season 2... whenever it reaches my country.

I'm over 30 and I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!! While I've just seen 2eps of the 'dark' transformers prime and I have to say I'm not feeling the love that I have for this one.

I guess because prime makes me depressed while rescuebots just makes me so happy <3

OK, this post is pretty old. And I'm trying to make a distinction which may be hard to make. The idea of Protectobots being the main characters WOULD have been very cool! BUT... now... all FOUR seasons have aired and all available on Netflix now. We have it explained that 'Rescue Bots' were thought to have been extinct...

"Remind you of anything, Kup?"
"Yep! Female Autobots!"

Ok, so these Autobot are NOT combiners. They didn't scan modes just to blend in, but blend in AND help. The Protectobots may 'not' have been originally made to rescue 'people' or anyone else for that matter. They were one G1 combiner group without much of a history unlike Computron. Yes, the protectobots went around saving bots and people alike, but the people KNEW they were Autobots AND from Cybertron. Though this is a whole new continuity... it might have worked. So I take this from the idea that Rescue Bots are Cybertronian that might have helped bots on EITHER side of the war on Cybertron (just guessing here) possibly more of a M.A.S.H. unit compared to the Protectobots who not just saved others, and combined into Defensor, but the Protectobots ALSO 'got involved' with the war effort. Rescue Bots (lacking any real weapons) were more side-lined. Again, this is all speculation. While the banter and writing of the show has been very well done, the Rescue Bots seem very... passive overall compared to the Autobots and Decepticons we all grew up on. Though by Season 3 & 4... they reference MANY names and places not previously mentioned in other seasons. Insecticons, R.I.D., Unicron, Starscream... and all were mentioned in the funniest of places to boot.

I'm in a family of four, and I'm about all alone watching this silly kids show. My wife (aka Marilla Cuthbert or Esmerelda) thinks the show is beneath her. My girl thinks she's too old for it, and it's mildly entertaining for my 8 year old son... who'd rather play on his stupid games on his Kindle than watch something made for him, with me! And I have to admit, I'm sure what audience this show is aimed at. They do not 'dumb down' their audience, nor talk down to them either. It has an intelligence on its own... and when the mini-collider showed up all I could think of was Big Bang Theory! When they considered letting the aliens eat the mayor... I couldn't stop myself from laughing! All the characters are dripping with personality. And they reference previous events!
